I live in Waterford, MI. and trying to find healthy food is a problem. Well, as of this week, problem solved!! Pekoe & Joe has finally opened up on the corner of Vorheis and Huron st. They have an organic, whole foods based menu. They have coffee, tea, breakfast, lunch, and dinner!! It's also a drive thru which makes it so easy when you're in a hurry.
I had a late breakfast as a result of waiting in line to send some jewelry off at the Post Office. I got a egg and cheese bagel and a chai latte. YUMMMMMMY! The girl who took my order was so nice and friendly, very patient with my pregnant indecisive self.
Check out their website. Helping to support local businesses that have a conscience is a priority for me. Besides the food is yummy.

That is very cool. So funny that you live in Waterford. I grew up in West Bloomfield, went to West Bloomfield High and then to U of M.
I was worried when we moved to Plano, TX that we wouldn't be able to find a good place for healthy food. No restaurants yet but many grocery stores carry organic/health food products and we have a Whole Foods and a Central Market (like Whole Foods but local).
Congrats on the restaurant and on the baby!
